GST Registration

Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax which was introduced in India on 1 July 2017 and was applicable throughout India which replaced multiple cascading taxes levied by the central and state governments. Under GST, goods and services are taxed at the following rates, 0%, 5%, 12% ,18% and 28%.

Description

Any supplier who carries on any business at any place in India and whose aggregate turnover exceeds threshold limit as prescribed in a year is liable to get himself registered. However, certain categories of persons mentioned in Schedule III of MGL are liable to be registered irrespective of this threshold. An agriculturist shall not be considered as a taxable person and shall not be liable to take registration.

Documents Required

  • Business incorporation documents
  • Address proof of Business
  • Photograph (wherever specified in the Application Form)

Procedure/Step

  • Step 1

    At First we open www.gst.gov.in and look for Registration Tab

  • Step 2

    Next fill up PAN, Mobile No., E-mail ID and State

  • Step 3

    The assessee will receive a temporary reference number our Mobile and via Email after OTP verification

  • Step 4

    DSC is needed to upload the required documents specified according to the business type and for submission

  • Step 5

    An acknowledgement with the Application Reference Number (ARN) will be generated after registration procedure

  • Step 6

    The department need to be visited and clarified or produced the documents within 7 working days.

  • Step 7

    The office may also reject your application if they find any errors.

  • Step 8

    Finally, a certificate of registration will be issued by the department after verification and approval.
